Dimensional Lettering FAQ
Dimensional letters can be made form a wide variety of materials:
- Sintra (PVC)
- and aluminum
are just a few of the choices available.
There are different methods of mounting letters and each style can be mounted differently. For example – thin acrylic letters can be mounted with double sided tape, alupanel letters can be pin mounted and many of the metal letters will have stud mounts
This partly depends on the mounting method. For adhesive mounting, a flat clean surface, including wood or metal is best.
As long as the spray is set fairly low…
As long as the curve is fairly shallow. Keep in mind too that a sign becomes less readable the more it curves.
Serif fonts such as Times New Roman are not suitable for smaller dimensional letters.
The simpler the logo the easier it is to read, especially at a distance.
- Consider the colour of the background on which the sign will be mounted – you want the sign to stand out and not blend in.
